As we come into our NAIDOC 2023, it is a time to acknowledge the many different ways our people celebrate across this whole continent: sport, music, dancing, song, story-telling. This year is extra special as it is focussed on our Elders. We should all acknowledge our Elders not just for this week but all year round! In the same way we could celebrate NAIDOC all year round. We could celebrate and acknowledged throughout the year. It is a time to encourage the wider community to come and celebrate with us – our culture, its survival, and its uniqueness, in recognition of it being the oldest living and practising culture.
A busy time for us, we already have many dates in the diary during NAIDOC 2023. We will post dates here soon, once they are confirmed and booked and providing each venue or community doesn’t want to keep it a surprise…!! ☺
